Invisible Shield for iPhone

I love the Invisible Shield products I have, and I'm not alone. They bring peace of mind and they are made of a high quality material. That said, the iPhone is not an easy shape to apply a sticker to. They've come up with an interestingly shaped precut sheet to try making that easier.

The instructions are vague, and the pieces are hard to apply perfectly. The final result is effective though. It will protect the back and edges, which are easier to scratch than the screen.

Believe me, I know how hard it is to scratch the screen, I actually scratched mine. It wasn't easy, and I already had several lesser scratches all over the body. Fortunately it was in the black area just outside the display. It's about a quarter inch long. Unfortunately I don't actually know which object in my coat pocket rubbed up against it, and I wasn't about to start testing them.

So here's the problem: The shield is a tad long in places, short in others, and even needs stretched in a couple places. The worst of this is the thin piece that wraps around the screen.

Other than this slight ugliness, the shield adds a little more feeling of grip (easier to hold on to), and a reduced tendency to collect oils in a noticable fashion. Of course the screen on an iPhone is bright enough you don't notice the oils from your skin when it's on, but when it's off they do stand out a little, and the shield seems to make them a complete non issue.
